Simple Steps - The Faith Walk
Many people believe that being saved means that you have to give up everything you think is fun or that your life has to change overnight. Our faith walk is a journey that begins with a simple step, a personal journey to the best love affair you will ever experience. A love affair that focuses on relationship, not rules or criticisms. I want to breakdown this love affair through applying biblical principles in a practical way. I invite you to take this walk with me, share it with anyone you want to experience a selfless, active, unconditional love. Join me in unlocking the simple steps.

It’s so funny to see the reactions of people, especially students when at speaking engagements they discover that I am a Kingdom child. I get reactions like “you’re a Christian” or “you don’t look like a Christian.
What does a Christian look like?

Welcome back everyone, thank you for taking this faith walk with me. So last week I told you about my journey, this week I am joined by someone who is extra special to me. He is my spiritual covering, my advisor, my Pastor – Christopher Morgan. PC, as I affectionately call him, will be my resident guest moving forward. He has a Master’s in theology, but I asked him to walk alongside me in this journey because He knows THE WORD and he has an uncanny way of bringing it to life in real, practical ways. NO, we will NOT be preaching, we will just be having frank, open, conversations about what I like to call “myths” of being a Christian and talking about the things that many churches are afraid to address. As we like to say in Jamaica – we a go talk di tings.

Too often I come across people that say “I believe in God but I am not ready to be a Christian yet. I am not ready to give up my lifestyle.” I often smile because it suggests a few things to me:
We acknowledge the reverence of God
We acknowledge that it’s something to work towards – like a prize
We acknowledge that some level of “sacrifice” is involved.
Today I want to start by sharing my journey.
I don’t come from a religious family but I did go to
Catholic church – Catholic schools – Moreland’s Christian Camp in Jamaica. The foundation was always there but my life wasn't always a reflection of the love I now have for God.
